As Sales Manager, you’ll lead from the front, combining hands-on business development with team leadership, coaching and revenue growth.
Working closely with Business Development Executives, operations and leadership teams, you’ll drive sales performance through coaching, accountability and consistent execution while also maintaining your own active pipeline and customer portfolio.
You’ll be heavily involved in field activity, mentoring and pipeline management while helping shape a strong performance culture.
Role Responsibilities
Driving new business acquisition across domestic and international freight solutions
Maintaining a personal sales pipeline and contributing directly to revenue growth
Leading prospecting activity, client meetings, negotiations and closing opportunities
Coaching and mentoring Business Development Executives through field-based leadership and structured development
Setting and managing activity, pipeline and revenue targets across the team
Recruiting, onboarding and developing high-performing sales talent
Conducting regular pipeline reviews and 1:1 coaching sessions
Driving accountability through clear KPIs and performance management
Working closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery
Supporting margin growth, profitability and commercial performance outcomes
Driving CRM discipline, pipeline accuracy and adoption of internal systems.
Tracking and reporting on key sales metrics including activations, conversion rates and customer retention
What you’ll bring

You may currently be working as a Sales Manager, Senior Business Development Manager or Team Leader within freight, logistics, transport or another high-performance B2B sales environment.
You’ll possess:
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding targets
Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline and close new business opportunities
Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales teams
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability
Experience working closely with operations and customer service functions
Freight, logistics or transport industry experience highly regarded
Strong CRM and pipeline management capability
Confidence engaging with business owners and senior decision makers
Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills
A proactive, resilient and results-driven mindset
The ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving environment
