What’s going on in the market is our most common question, so this week we thought we’d give some numbers to our insight.
Australia’s labour market remains steady rather than roaring. In July 2025 the unemployment rate dipped to 4.2%. Full-time roles grew while part-time eased, which tells me employers are still hiring for impact, not headcount.
Meanwhile, online job ads are basically flat month-on-month and lower than this time last year. Translation: competition is real, especially for the roles everyone wants.
